Amazon Mission Statement
“To be Earth’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online, and endeavors to offer its customers the lowest possible prices”.Amazon
Amazon’s mission statement is customer-oriented. Customer satisfaction and revenue increase when customer service improved. Its mission statement makes two points clear, first and foremost, it is Amazon’s commitment to customer service, and second, it is the company’s scale. It does not specify what it offers, but it summarizes it as “anything” that anyone may like to shop online. This further demonstrates Amazon’s ambitions. Anything you can find online can be found on one website – Amazon.
Its mission statement contains no information about its target market, the goods it offers, or the essence of its operation. It is concise and describes Amazon’s main goal and highest priority, it is really briefing and explains that Amazon’s main concern and the highest target is all about consumers, comfort, and nothing else.
Both paths in Amazon lead to the client. As a result, Amazon is working to build an online store where users can purchase anything online. It has positioned itself as a customer-oriented brand, and this is all about its mission.
Walmart’s Mission Statement
“We deliver low prices, every day”.Walmart
The old mission statement for Walmart is “We deliver low prices, every day.”, because of its low-price approach every day, the firm has achieved great momentum. The largest retailer gives shoppers reduced pricing all year round rather than low prices at sales events. Walmart embodies EDLP’s price strategy. It can be said. Since the approach produces small margins, the merchant may achieve substantial profit from a large revenue volume.
“Save people money so they can live better.”Walmart
This global retail giant runs more than 11,700 stores under 59 corporate’s names, with 2.3 million staff in 28 countries worldwide while maintaining an average inventory of 32 billion dollars. With numbers of this sort, It is important to have an effective and productive plan and framework for supply chain management.
The whole company is dedicated to a business model that allows shoppers to “save people money so they can live better.” according to the current statement of Walmart. Furthermore, the marketing strategy of Walmart involves using price as a sales point to attract target customers. Many of the company’s tactics demonstrate the importance of this selling point. For instance, the marketing mix or 4P of Walmart includes low prices. Other business areas dictate the need to minimize market prices to maintain competition.
Walmart fulfills the “save people money” as a part of its low-price sales mission statement. Compared to the purchases of the same or similar products from medium or high-end shops, customers save money by spending less on purchasing items from their shops. However, it is not yet clear whether the organization fulfills the “live better” part of this business goal. In addition to other human resources management problems, there are criticisms of meager salaries that challenge Walmart’s workers in making their lives better.
